Combination of glazed partition solutions creates a personal expression at SUN-AIR
Glass is one of the most popular building materials for the interior of office buildings, in which partitions have a wide variety of functional and architectural roles. DEKO is one of Europe’s leading suppliers of glazed partitions, and the interior of SUN-AIR’s new head office in Billund Airport was one of its recent prestige projects.
Light and spacious room sharing
Designing office areas with fully glazed partitions provides an elegant, light and highly practical solution affording natural screening while providing unhindered views from and into the rooms. Meeting rooms and offices with glazed partitions allow the daylight to be recycled through multiples rooms, creating transparency across the office. DEKO glazed partitions come in a wide range of variants – including for sound reduction and fire sectioning.
Behind a glazed partition, employees can concentrate on their work while at the same time observing activities in the common area. Conversely, colleagues can see whether the office occupant is in a meeting, on the phone or can be disturbed. Areas formed with fully glazed partitioning therefore enhance comfort and job satisfaction, strengthen communications and contribute to a light, spacious and attractive environment.
Combination of materials creates contrast and personal expression
The SUN-AIR contract was one of the first on which DEKO combined fully glazed partitions with doors and frames in oak. The objective was to match the rest of the building’s interior design and to create a sculptural effect, with individual solid elements surrounded by transparency.
The combination of two glazed partition systems accentuates the minimalist design of the metal profiles combined with the ‘warm’ timber materials around the doors. The result is an attractive contrast between minimalism and maximism.
