DEKO MV Panel wall with special surface
_Tingbjerg Library and Cultural Centre has a very unique timber interior. So we tailormade its flexible DEKO MV Panel wall with the same unique plywood surface and architectural look. The wall adds the perfect finishing touch to Tingbjerg’s new gathering place. _
Tingbjerg Library and Cultural Centre welcomes creative, culturally-minded people and avid readers of all ages. The high level of diversity vis-à-vis users and functions called for one of DEKO’s particularly flexible partition systems.
Flexibility meets unique design
The ground floor, which is the heart of the building, consists of one cohesive space, housing the café, foyer and concert hall/theatre. A large multifunctional space of this nature requires a functional partition solution. The DEKO MV Panel wall is specifically equipped with the mobility to divide large spaces into smaller units, while at the same time restoring the large space whenever needed for large-scale gatherings.
With bespoke cladding of special, white-pigmented plywood, the 14-metre-long, 2.86-metre-high panel wall is an integral part of the cultural centre’s theme with its architectural, Nordic expression. Structurally, the uniquely designed plywood surface resembles the other structures, acoustic panels and slats in the building.
The individual elements of the panel wall are single-point suspended in a single top track and with no tracks in the floor. This ensures level-free access across the spaces. The elements can be rotated 360 degrees, thereby creating countless options in terms of layout and look.
User-friendliness and safety
Flexibility is the name of the game. In other words, DEKO MV Panel wall is the ideal solution when it comes to meeting special requirements vis-à-vis flexibility, safety and ease of use in a building that needs to cater for many people.
The panels are operated individually, and run back and forth easily in the simple track system. In accordance with the client’s wishes, the partition features 3 built-in doors, which together create the required access.
The DEKO MV Panel wall in Tingbjerg Library and Cultural Centre has a sound reduction of Rw 48 dB, and its plywood surface is fire-impregnated and B-s1, d0 classified (Class A).
With its stunning plywood surface and technical and functional properties, the DEKO MV Panel wall meets the building’s requirements for both design and flexibility. That makes the panel wall the ideal solution for this meeting venue, while adding the finishing touch to the highly distinctive architecture of the cultural centre.
