Soundproof, fireproof and load-bearing steel frame structure

In order to comply with the highest legal requirements for both fire resistance and bearing capacity, DEKO HG Fire glazed modules are installed in a fireproof steel base frame that is built into the floor structure. DEKO HG Fire has been fully fire-tested as both a REI 30 and REI 60 construction and has a high bearing capacity with a maximum load of 5kN/m² and sound reduction of up to Rw 55 dB.

The glazed modules come in sizes of up to approx. 2 m² and can be installed as either individual or multiple elements side-by-side, held together by the steel frame’s L- and T-profiles. Our floor glass comes with a black serigraphy at the edges of the glass as standard to conceal the underlying steel frame. The load-bearing glazed modules can also be produced without fire-classification if desired.

Feels like floating in the Mærsk Tower

DEKO HG Fire glazed modules are always sized and printed individually per project and are also available with non-slip serigraphy in a variety of colours and designs. This means that you can adapt your glass flooring to achieve a visually stunning floor solution that spreads natural light throughout the floors of your building, giving it a unique character.

Mærsk Tower, designed by C.F. Møller Architects, is a good example of how decorative glazed modules can give your architecture a light and playful feel. The 14-storey Mærsk Tower is adorned with circular DEKO HG Fire floor glass whose transparency draws the eye downwards, making it seem as if you are floating as you look through the glass onto the floors below. The rounded glazed modules spread natural light throughout the building and bring the Tower’s internal architecture to life. The round shape of the glass also gives a finishing touch to the rest of the Tower’s circular interior design.
