Perfectly suited to multifunctional spaced

The DEKO FV2 Glass folding partition is built around a unique construction of narrow aluminium profiles and two layers of glass that extend all the way to the edge of the elements. The maximum glass surface area adds light and openness to the room; and gives the folding partition an exceptionally exclusive look while reducing sound by Rw 47 dB.

DEKO has recently delivered and installed two glazed folding partitions to Roskilde Festival Højskole. The school is academically diverse; and must therefore offer both tranquil and flexible learning spaces. With one folding partition being a muffler in combination with an exterior facade in the school's music room and sound studio, the school’s students can freely explore music without disturbing the residential area next door.

The second folding partition, integrated between the school's large common room and a lecture hall, not only solves the need for sound absorbing and room sharing, but also showcases as a decorative element of the school's interior: The large glass surface area draws one’s gaze into the lecture hall, where the entire interior is decorated in the strong orange colour that characterises the Orange Scene at Roskilde Festival. The glazed folding partition’s dark profiles and the shiny glass against the contrasting colour add a look of elegance and edge to the lively room.

Incredible flexibility and ease of operation

The DEKO FV2 Glass folding partition is produced individually for each project and in accordance with the customer's requirements in terms of dimensions and element sizes. It comes as standard black, white or natural anodised but is also available in special colours. The folding partition is made either as single or double leafed, which is drawn together in the middle. In both examples, the last element is a door and is fitted, as standard, with ball locks and stainless steel grips.

In addition, the glazed folding partitionis is provided with a floor track, putting all its weight in the thin track, which adds no significant strain on the load-bearing capacity of the upper structure. The built-in locking mechanisms easily open and lock the folding partition, making it quick and easy to operate. With the DEKO FV2 Glass, the users of the space have ample flexibility to divide the room as needed, without having to compromise on either sound reduction or light.
